There are various uses for textbooks in STEM classes as mentioned below:

explanatory information for a project or to challenge our ideas with new viewpoints.

2. Using textbooks to promote independence: Using textbooks within the classroom cultivates positive student engagement.

3. Enhances Vocabulary: Noting unfamiliar words while reading and then finding their

interesting meanings boosts a student’s vocabulary.

4. Diagrams: Diagrams in a textbook encourage a deeper understanding of concepts by the graphical organization.

5. Historical Context: Understanding the historical context and development of scientific

theories and technological advancements is essential in STEM education. Textbooks

provide historical perspectives that shed light on the evolution of ideas and discoveries.
